Regional Planning Partners coordinated the planning of Truckee’s Railyard redevelopment project, including authoring design guidelines for the project area. As part of the plan, RPP created low-impact development guidelines for the Truckee Railyard Master Plan as well as creek and drainage stormwater management concepts that integrate with the surrounding neighborhood. Darin’s unmatched knowledge of American West historic town patterns and best practices in developing vibrant, pedestrian friendly, and compact communities gave him a solid foundation to coordinate the planning. Working with developers and public input, RPP created a set of guiding principles to direct implementation of new development. RPP’s values and approach to comprehensive community-based planning focuses on working together to build successful communities while preserving the quality of life and character.
